| Here at 'Trehaven' we don't believe in locking our guests into a 'full board
package' but would rather offer you the flexibility to chose your own dining
out venue. We hold a large selection of menu's in our lounge and would be
delighted to make your dinner reservation on your behalf. Here are a few restaurants that have been recommended by our guests and are personal favourites. As guests of 'Trehaven' you will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. Looe's restaurants are very popular, so it is recommended that you make reservations at busy times. Ella and Neil are happy to advise and make the bookings for you - just ask. |

seafood is purchased daily, fresh from the quay and the menu changes every
day, so visiting more than once during your stay is a must. Trawlers offer
you the opportunity to taste the very best seafood Looe can offer, such

Mawgan's which can be found close to Looe Beach is a culinary experience not to be missed! All of their food is "slow" cooked - i.e. made to order from local produce, which gives it that special quality. From
the moment you step through the doors you are given a warm and friendly
welcome from your hosts, Chris and Jane. Although the cuisine is mainly
Cornish, from finest fish caught daily and landed at the quayside, to
juicy steaks and healthy vegetarian options. With a little notice, special
dietary needs can be met too! (e.g. fat-free, diabetic, gluten-free, etc.) |

Fourniers |
|
|
|
Fourniers is a beautiful family run restaurant in the back streets of Looe.
Certainly one of the top restaurants and a must during your visit. Their food is excellent, especially Neil's favourite, the fillet steak in stilton sauce. Their deserts are also gorgeous, so make sure you leave some space. top |

The Bywater |
|
|
|
Set
in the old part of East Looe a 17th century cottage, on the narrow lanes between the beach and the quay, the Bywater Restaurant is a relaxing, informal, yet stylish place to eat and drink. The food focuses on local, seasonal produce and the menus evolve on a daily basis. They pride themselves on using high quality, locally farmed and traditionally reared meat and Cornish fish which is selected daily from the quay. All food is prepared to order to guarantee you enjoy each ingredient at it's best. They hand make all of their bread and desserts, and often you will find home-made pasta on the menu as well.
The food is cooked and served for you by owners Amy & Iain Shillito, who
invite you to enjoy a meal at your leisure. |

The Old Sail Loft |
|
|
|
The Old Sail Loft is tucked away from the main road and overlooks the
harbour. The restaurant is divided into two sections, the "Cellar" and the "Loft". They serve excellent steaks and seafood. Domonic, Michelle and the staff will always offer you a warm welcome. If you book early their upstairs window table has a fabulous view over the harbour. The Sail Loft is well worth a visit whilst you are in Looe. Michelle offers a Sunset Menu before 8pm, which is three courses at a set price. top |

Papa Nino Ristorante Italiano |
|
|
Papa Nino Restaurant is situated in Higher Market Street, East Looe in the
old part of the town. The restaurant is
a family owned / run concern specialising in authentic Italian cuisine, fresh
fish and local seafood. They offer a high standard of quality and
service and yet still good value for money, attracting both local and visitors
alike. top |

|
Lascares Wine Bar |
|
|
Lascares
gets its name from an old Cornish Pirate who sailed the seas two hundred
years ago. The owner, Billy, discovered an old book in his attic,
which told tales of this notorious pirate. The restaurant has a large selection of wines and champagnes and serves Spanish style Tapas at very reasonable prices. It is a great place to do lunch - sit on the terrace with a cool glass and watch the world go by. Places for children need to be booked in advance. top |

Larson's Crepe and Coffee House |
|
|
Freshly made crepes and freshly
brewed coffee. A perfect combination. Larson's is located close
to the harbour and is open during the daytime and early evening top |

Asian Cuisine |
|

No town would be complete without Indian and Chinese restaurants. The Moonlight Tandoori - pictured right is on the high street Just opposite the Moonlight is the Peking Garden Chinese restaurant, serving traditional Chinese food. And below is the Moonlight man himself, Mr Islam, the boss. I think he is probably one of the hardest workers in Looe - always there and always smiling. |
